Astros Faith & Family Night with Third Day – June 23, 2012

Join FBC for an Astros game and Third Day concert on June 23! Cost for this trip is $30. We will leave at 1:30 p.m. Call the church office or stop by the Welcome Center to sign up.

Bastrop Mission Trip – May 13-18, 2012

We will going to Bastrop to work on the house of a pastor whose lost everything in the wildfire last summer. The bus will leave May 13 at 3 p.m. and return May 18. We will be doing insulation, sheetrock, (especially in need of a sheetrock finisher), and possible cabinet installation. Also, if anyone is getting new kitchen appliances we could use your old appliances for this family. Contact Kevan Wood or call the office for more information.

FSM BBQ Fundraiser – April 15 – May 13, 2012

FSM BBQ Fundraiser started April 15! Men, if you’ve been wanting to cook a special meal for wife or mom, here is your chance! You can pre-order an already cooked (by Mark Jones) Pork Loin, Brisket, or 2 Racks of Ribs. All you have to do is heat it up when you get home! Orders can by placed in the Atrium at the FSM BBQ Table, at the Church office, or by contacting an individual student. The BBQ will be available for pickup on Mothers Day, Sunday, May 13th.

Relay For Life 2012 – April 27-28, 2012

It’s time for Relay for Life 2012! This year the theme for Polk County is “Ropin’ Ridin’ and Survivin’.”

If you are interested in joining the FBC Relay for Life team, sign-up at the Welcome Center or contact Jeanie Binns (713) 545-9361 or Billy Binns (713) 545-9360. If you are already a member of the team, there will be a team meeting at FBC on Sunday, April 15, at 5 p.m.

Relay for Life is a non-profit organization that holds an annual 12-hour community gathering to remember those we have lost to cancer, to honor those who have formerly or are currently battling the disease, and to eventually find a cure. All funds benefit the American Cancer Society (ACS) which conducts ongoing research related to cancer and provides a number of support programs to those affected by cancer. The ACS hotline is 1-800-227-2345 and is available 24 hours a day to answer any and all questions related to cancer. Be a part of the cure!
