The Men’s Ministry of FBC will be heading to Dallas for Promise Keepers, August 3-4! The cost of this trip is $100 and includes the conference fee and hotel. We will leave at noon on Friday, August 3. Call the office or stop by the Welcome Center to sign up.

Sr. Adult Flower Tour – June 11, 2012

Join the Senior Adults of FBC for the Flower Tour in Chappell Hill/Brenham. The aromatic lavender farm with its quaint surroundings and scenic hillside view is located approximately 8 miles north of the historic town of Chappell Hill. The fields which consist of 3000 lush plants, cascade down over several rolling acres to a large gazebo and pond which make a peaceful setting for picnics or just relaxing with a cool glass of lavender tea or lavender lemonade. The cost for this trip is approximately $15. The bus will leave at 8 a.m. and return in the late afternoon/early evening. Call the church office or stop by the Welcome Center to sign up.

Pre-Teen Camp – July 29 – August 2, 2012

First Kids invites all kids that have completed 3rd – 5th grade to Pre-Teen Camp this summer! Camp will be July 29 – August 2, 2012. The cost is $185 per camper. A $40 deposit and completed registration form are due by May 20, 2012. Total balance is due by July 25, 2012. You can pick-up registration forms from Kayla Pitts at the children’s desk in the FBC atrium or at the church office.

Bastrop Mission Trip – May 13-18, 2012

We will going to Bastrop to work on the house of a pastor whose lost everything in the wildfire last summer. The bus will leave May 13 at 3 p.m. and return May 18. We will be doing insulation, sheetrock, (especially in need of a sheetrock finisher), and possible cabinet installation. Also, if anyone is getting new kitchen appliances we could use your old appliances for this family. Contact Kevan Wood or call the office for more information.

Sr. Adult Trip to George Ranch Historical Park – May 10, 2012

Journey to a place and time where cattle and cotton are king and Texas is a country all its own. Visit the George Ranch Historical Park with the FBC Senior Adults and discover a treasury of Texas traditions. The cost of this trip is $15 per person. The bus will leave at 8 a.m. and return sometime after 5 p.m. Stop by the FBC Welcome Center or call the office to sign-up.

George Ranch Historical Park is a living history museum that tracks four generations of one family over one hundred years of Texas history. Visit the 1830′s Jones Stock Farm, the 1860′s Ryon Prairie Home, the 1890′s Davis Mansion, and the 1930′s George Ranch Complex. Enjoy historic home tours, cattle-working demonstrations, a working blacksmith shop and more.

FSM BBQ Fundraiser – April 15 – May 13, 2012

FSM BBQ Fundraiser started April 15! Men, if you’ve been wanting to cook a special meal for wife or mom, here is your chance! You can pre-order an already cooked (by Mark Jones) Pork Loin, Brisket, or 2 Racks of Ribs. All you have to do is heat it up when you get home! Orders can by placed in the Atrium at the FSM BBQ Table, at the Church office, or by contacting an individual student. The BBQ will be available for pickup on Mothers Day, Sunday, May 13th.
