Join us January 21, 2012 to be “chilled but filled” at FBC’s Women’s Winter Retreat. Cost is $20 per person. Bring your Bible, friends, commitment, and determination to grow closer in your spiritual walk with God!

Sr. Adult Trip to Santa’s Wonderland – Dec. 16, 2011

Come experience the wonder of Christmas! Join us on a trip to Santa’s Wonderland, A Texas Christmas Experience. Tour the sights and sounds of Santa’s Wonderland, featuring millions of dazzling Christmas lights seen on a winding path stretching over a mile long.

The bus will leave the church at 3 p.m. on December 16. We will eat a late lunch or early supper (whichever you wish it to be), drive through Santa’s Wonderland, and visit Santa Town. Plan to arrive home around 10 p.m. Cost is $15 per person plus the meal. Sign-up deadline is December 11. To sign-up, call the church office at 936-327-4417, fill out an info card and place in an offering/communication box, or use the sign-up sheet located at the info booth in the atrium.

A Night in Bethlehem – Dec. 3-5, 2011

First Baptist Church of Livingston presents their annual Christmas event, A Night in Bethlehem. Volunteers have been working diligently to transform the Trade Days pavilions at Pedigo Park into the little town of Bethlehem.

Each year more than 3,000 people enjoy special Christmas music by the FBC worship choir and delicious refreshments before stepping back in time to experience life during the time of Jesus’ birth.

Multi-generational shops line the streets, live animals roam the town, and Roman guards keep watch as guests make their way to the stable where they will experience a live nativity.

A Night in Bethlehem will be Dec. 3-5 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Pedigo Park Trade Days pavilions. Tours start every 15 minutes and is free for all ages.

Building Bethlehem – Dec. 1, 2011

The final details are coming together! All of the main structures are complete inside Bethlehem and the platforms for the choir and band are being set up. The next step will be decorating the shops! Back at the office there are banners being made (look for them around town!), programs being printed, and TONS of cookies are piling up to be served at Bethlehem! Big things (REALLY BIG) are happening at the Pedigo Park pavilions today! We brought in the circus tent again this year to be the first half of the city of Bethlehem. Check out the pictures of our guys hoisting up this massive tent!
