Welcome to First Baptist Church
FBC is a unique place with an incredible heart. We are not about buildings or programs or traditions. Simply put, we are about people.
FBC strives to be a place where people are growing in their love for God, their love for one another, and their passion for serving the world. It’s a place where people are transformed through a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
What To Expect When You Visit
Where To Park
There is a circular parking lot around the church building with three entrances for your convenience. The main entrance is located on the west side of the building. Additional covered entrances are located on the north and east sides of the building.
What to Wear
On Sunday morning, you will see people dressed in a wide range of attire from jeans to dress clothes. We want everyone to feel at home.
Where Will My Kids Go?
Children are important to us at FBC. We have safe and fun accommodations for children from birth through 5th grade.
FirstSteps Nursery and the FirstKids wing is located off the main entrance of the church. After you register your child at Check-In, they will head to their classroom to have fun and grow through age-appropriate teaching.
What’s Worship Like?
On Sundays, FBC offers worship at 9 and 10:30 a.m.
9am worship is a blend of newer choruses with some modern arrangements of hymns. It is led by our Pastor of Worship/Administration, Kevan Wood along with the praise team and choir.
10:30am worship is very creative and progressive, involving many different elements that may appealing to the younger generation (and the young at heart, as well). This service is led by our Associate Pastor of Worship, Billy Wiginton and the worship band.
Our services are held in the Worship Center and typically last 90 minutes. Both services include relevant teaching.
Sunday Morning Bible Study
Many members participate in worship during one hour and a Bible Study the other hour. There are many Bible Studies to choose from. In addition to topical Bible Studies, there are classes geared to different age groups such as middle school students, young adults, and mature adults.
Offering
As a guest, you are not expected to make an offering. Offerings are made by our members as part of their commitment to God and the church.
Need More Information?
On Sunday mornings, we encourage you to stop by the Information Booth, located just inside the main entrance. Each Sunday morning, friendly FBC members and staff are on hand to talk with you and answer any questions you might have. We look forward to getting to know you!
